Overview
Your home should give you your weekends back, not take them.
Most homeowners are burned out by maintenance while having tasks they've been putting off. The average well-maintained home costs thousands per year to maintain — and that's before you count your time.
Homestead Charleston handles oversight, service providers, scheduling, and accounting. One monthly payment maintains your home. You get one monthly report and your life back.
Own it. Enjoy it. Leave the rest to us.
What Is Estate Care — And Why Does It Matter?
Estate care is a category of home management that most homeowners didn't know existed — until they needed it.
It's not a home warranty. It's not a handyman service. It's not home watch. It's the proactive, ongoing stewardship of your home as a managed asset — with a dedicated partner who knows every system, every service provider, and every detail of your property.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
Home Analysis — Know Your Property Before Something Goes Wrong
Every estate care relationship begins with a comprehensive onboarding assessment of your home. We walk every system — HVAC, roofing, appliances, and more — documenting current condition, service history, known issues, and upcoming maintenance needs.
This isn't a cursory walkthrough. It's a structured baseline that tells us exactly what your home needs, when it needs it, and which home service providers should be caring for each system. Everything is documented and shared with you. From that point forward, we manage against that baseline — proactively, not reactively.
Home Service Provider & Contract Management — One Partner, Every Provider
Once we understand your home, we take over every service relationship within it. We source, vet, and negotiate with home service providers across every trade — HVAC technicians, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, pest control companies, pool service, pressure washers, gutter cleaners, roofers, and more.
Critically, we hold and manage all service contracts on your behalf. You don't sign agreements with a dozen different companies or track renewal dates for six different service plans. Every contract lives with us. Every relationship is managed by us. Every service visit is scheduled, supervised, and followed up on — by us.
If a home service provider doesn't meet the standard your home deserves, we handle it. You never have to make that call.
Payment & Accounting — One Account. Complete Transparency.
Here's where estate care becomes truly hands-off.
You fund a dedicated property account managed by Homestead Charleston. Every home service provider — every technician, every specialist, every contractor — is paid directly from that account. You never receive an invoice from a service provider. You never write a check to a contractor. You never wonder what something cost or whether it was paid.
Each month, you receive a clear, detailed statement showing every service performed, every provider paid, and every dollar spent on your behalf. Full transparency. Zero administrative burden on your end.
Your only financial relationship is with Homestead Charleston — a single monthly management fee and a funded property account. That's the entire financial picture of owning a well-maintained home.
The Bottom Line
Estate care exists because great homes deserve more than reactive repairs and a scattered list of contractors. They deserve a system — one partner, one account, one relationship — built around protecting the home you've worked hard to own and enjoy.
Own it. Enjoy it. Leave the rest to us.
